now is the time

Now is the time to hold your gaze
Now is the time to look away
Now is april now is june
November has come all too soon

Now is the time for valentines
For I'll be yours and you'll be mines
Pluck the petals one by one
Now the flowers are dead and gone

Put a ring upon your finger
Tie a ribbon in your hair
Now we hope our love will linger
Now our hope is dark despair

Now we run to open arms
The golden sun reveals your charms
Now is time to kneel and pray
The waning moon is cold and grey

Now my name is upon your lips
Now we love relationships
Now the time is getting late
Now we're going to separate

Now my heart is full of yearning
Now your eyes are filled with stars
Now we feel the passion burning
Now the present is the past

Now is the time to say HELLO HELLO
Now is the time to say GOODBYE GOODBYE

Now the way ahead is clear
Now you want to hold me near
Now there is a trace of doubt
Now the candle is blown out

Now your cheek is hot to touch
Now you love me so so much
Now a stranger passes by
Now the twinkle leaves your eye

Now we hear the angels singing
Now the chalice overflows
Now in heaven bells are ringing
Now in hell a cold wind blows

Now is the time to say HELLO HELLO
Now is the time to say GOODBYE GOODBYE

to be or not

life is a mystery-
i'm through with history.
i can only understand
what i can hold and what i can see.
time is illusion-
mind a confusion,
i only know deep in my heart
the path of love can set me free.

sisters and brothers-
we are fools for each other.
as the sun goes down what does he see?
the quest to be or not to be,
the search to find another soul
to turn base metal into gold,
and bury the gold deep in your heart
and turn your time into an art.

between

monday is my blogday
here we go again
im here to find a middle way
between joy and pain

BETWEEN

between moon and sun
i found the one
between sun and moon
i found a tune

between you and me
i found the tea
between me and you
i found a clue

between here and there
i found nowhere
between there and here
i found no fear

between shit and crap
i found a gap
between crap and shit
i found a pit

between east and west
i found the best
between west and east
i found the beast.

between dark and light
i found a fight
between light and dark
i found a spark

between men and gods
i found no odds
between gods and men
i found zazen

between ti and do
i found no go
between do and ti
i found a mi

between life and death
i found a breath
between death and life
i found my wife

between old and young
i found a rung
between young and old
i found the gold

between rome and rio
i found my cleo
between rio and rome
i found my home

between one and zero
i found no hero
between zero and one
i found a sum

between love and art
i found my heart
between art and love
i found the dove

between tail and tongue
i found my lung
between tongue and tail
i found the grail

rain falls

i grip the mouse upon his mat and tap
this second jaunt into the world of blog.
i visualize you, dear absent reader,
emerging from the electronic fog

to meet me on the shining worldwideweb.
to read my tuneless pentametric verse
where i attempt to say and set and serve
my truest thoughts for better or for worse.

but, as i tap and click and trawl for rhymes,
the sun has sent a golden beam of light
to thwart the clouds that hang about the day,
and call his sons out of their homes ere night;

to leave the mice alone upon their mats
to turn the monitors against the walls
and step outside beneath the crack of blue
and greet the day before the cold rain falls.

bleep

its 3a.m.on Wednesday

and my blog is born

a tiny faint electro texted

pixel lifeless form

a bleep upon the darkened heap

a first flap butterfly s wing

a public information site

a narcissistic ting

the empty boat sets off from shore

with song and sail unfurled

a puff of self promotion for

a clamorous glamorous world.

a world of shrinking forests,

a world of swelling seas,

failing banks and dying bees.

advancing sands on falling trees.

people stop to stare and glare

but less to stop to think

water water everywhere

but not a drop to drink.
